Top 5 FAQs About Epsilon3 Space Operations Software
Epsilon3 is still relatively new in the space industry, and there’s not anything like it. So we understandably get a lot of questions about what Epsilon3 is and if it will meet your team’s needs to help you stay competitive as the space industry grows rapidly.
If you’re looking into using Epsilon3, we’re happy to chat with you and anyone else on your team who has questions. You can schedule a demo here if we don’t answer your questions below.
1. Is Epsilon3 secure and ITAR/EAR compliant?
Yes! Epsilon3 is designed to be convenient, collaborative and secure. And our software is compliant with both International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
When you use Epsilon3, you are using a platform that provides:
AWS GovCloud for ITAR compliant data storage or your own on-premise servers
Protection from data loss with recurring encrypted backups
Role-based access control for restricting permissions to data across your organization
256-bit AES encryption at rest and SSL/TLS encryption in-transit
Completed SOC examination to ensure effective controls over the security, availability, and confidentiality of our online platforms. SOC2 type 2 report is now available for customers at their request.
2. Do you deploy on-premise?
Yes! Epsilon3 provides flexible deployment options, including modern infrastructure and tools like Docker to make on-premise deployments and recurring upgrades simple and easier than ever before.
We also provide a high SLA (Service Level Agreement) to ensure that your team always has exactly what they need for deployment and integrations. Our status page is open to the public where our customers and potential customers can check operational status at any moment.
3. Will Epsilon3 integrate with other platforms?
Yes! Epsilon3 will integrate with PLMs, ERPs, and your team’s telemetry systems. The API is flexible and built into all aspects of our software.
4. Is Epsilon3 purely used in operations?
No. We're used across many of our customers' program life cycles from manufacturing work orders, to integration and test (I&T) all the way through operations. We support teams in all areas of a product life cycle post-design!
Many people might be surprised to learn that one of our customers is completely outside of engineering (finance), and another builds underwater ocean mapping vehicles. So, in short, where you have repeatable processes and procedures, we can help!
5. Where does the name Epsilon3 come from?
Less technical, but a fun question we get all the time! Epsilon3 is named from the planet in Babylon 5, a space opera television series in the 1990s that ran for five 22-episode seasons.
Each company has their own unique needs and concerns. Please reach out to us to schedule a demo if you still have questions about how Epsilon3 can improve your operations.
