Epsilon3 Changelog #14: Offline Step Execution and Reviews

Thank you to our wonderful community for all of your support, feedback, and product ideas throughout this last sprint. We are honored to continue supporting you and enjoy hearing from you. Our focus over the last few months (in the background) has been towards supporting offline mode (or spotty Internet) for all of you whether you’re out in the field testing or flying high above the Earth. We expect to be outputting a number of new features centered around offline execution over the next few months (among lots of other exciting things to come).

If you like what you see below, or want to see something new, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

New! Offline Step Execution

  • This has been in the works for a LONG time, and we’re so excited to start bringing you the same functionality you love online when you have spotty Internet or are fully offline.

  • We’ve started with the ability to complete steps when offline including field inputs and table inputs.

  • You’ll see a notification in the menu bar at the top that you’re “working offline.” This will change to “syncing changes” when you get back online. NOTE: It might be so fast you don’t see the “syncing changes” message.

  • Our next steps are adding full functionality to the procedure execution when offline. (Start Procedure, Comment, Attachment, Skip, Repeat, End Procedure).

New! Review Comments

Review Comment.jpg
  • You asked; we listened. You can now post comments when reviewing a procedure prior to release. We wanted to make sure to work hard to get the entire workflow within Epsilon3 so you didn't have to track comments or anything related to the release elsewhere.

  • When editing after a review, you’ll also be able to see the comments in-line to ensure all comments are addressed prior to release.

Improvements

  • Project short codes definition. Take some time to go back to your project settings and add these short codes. We’re planning to let you use them later in automatically naming and numbering your procedures.

  • Reorganized column order for operator roles and projects for better consistency.

  1. Status Page (https://status.epsilon3.io/): Check out current and historical uptime information and subscribe to updates.
