Epsilon3 Changelog #20: Versions Tab, Notifications List, UI Updates, Print to PDF

Having just come out of our 2022 roadmap planning, we are hitting February running with four new enhancements and many improvements as we look to continue building out your requested features.  With the recent addition of several new team members, we are accelerating the development of our ambitious list of new functionality for Epsilon3. Keep an eye out for UI improvements and editing updates to see how we are making collaborations even easier.  As always, Our product portal page is available for inputs, and we can be reached anytime at support@epsilon3.io to discuss new ideas.

Additionally, the word is getting out!  Watch our first customer video with Justin Fiaschetti from Inversion Space. If you have examples of Epsilon3 in action, please reach out so we can feature your team! — Laura

P.S. If you haven’t had the opportunity, check out our news at TechCrunch: “Epsilon3 lines up $2.8M seed round to modernize space and launch operations.”

Done! SOC2 Compliant

  • Know that the security of your operations and data remains a top priority for Epsilon3.

  • We’re proud to announce that we worked with BARR Advisory to complete a SOC examination and ensure our customer data is safe.

  • We have fully completed our SOC2 compliance audit and the report is now available upon customer request.

New! UI Updates to Procedure Steps

  • Multiple improvements in the UI to make your procedures easier to follow!

  • Visual cues make it much simpler to know each step’s status.  Step cards now have a green border when complete, a gray background when skipped, and a blue border when incomplete.

  • Step cards now have a max width to help make the best use of your screen space.

  • Finally, step comments and redline comments have left borders to improve awareness of where notes and changes have been made.

New! Procedure Versions Tab

  • You can now view all your previous versions of a procedure in a dedicated panel!

  • No need to worry about missing a change or losing track of procedure versions. Quickly view and compare past versions at any time to review past changes and ensure procedures have all the required steps and information.

New! Notifications for Procedures In Review

  • Simplify finding all the procedures awaiting your approval!

  • A new bell icon shows you all the procedures waiting for your review in one place, and updates in realtime after you have added your approval.

  • Procedures that are archived while in review will disappear from the notifications list automatically.

It’s Official! Print to PDF

  • By popular demand! We have added a new “Print” button that takes you to the browser’s print dialogue panel.

  • Quickly create a PDF copy of any procedure as a backup for your operations, or share a procedure run to other teams to aid in analysis and process improvements

Improvements

  • Improved app performance — the next big boost is here! Now, when editing large procedures, you’ll be able to avoid browser lag by expanding and collapsing sections as you work.

  • Improved reliability and performance for client connections to the telemetry and commanding APIs.

  • Improved the procedure detail page with better navigation items. Now, procedures with a pending new version will have easy links to edit or review the draft as appropriate.

  • Improved functionality for undoing and redoing changes when editing procedures. Now, modifying text fields and all modifications to step content are tracked with full undo and redo support.

  • Added additional audit events when changing team settings like team name and other configuration settings. (Audit data is currently available by request.)

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused certain telemetry range values to get validated incorrectly when saving a procedure for review.

  • Fixed an issue that caused steps with wide images to layout incorrectly and exceed the available step size.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations from working as expected when using certain identity providers.

  • Fixed an issue where validation warnings when saving a procedure for review would not get tracked correctly when reordering content.

  • Fixed a validation issue that incorrectly allowed blank string values when setting operator names and other settings.

  • Fixed an issue where the page title would display a stale value after successfully changing the user’s password.

  • Fixed an issue where the “jump to” title would display a stale value after changing the section or step name when editing a procedure.
