Epsilon3 Changelog #21: Release Permissions, Comment Resolution, Step Signoff Options, Run Export With Step Times, Account Event History

Our first March update focuses on key improvements to our procedure editor and new options in how you design your procedure signoffs.  Expect frequent updates to continue to improve your procedure collaborations!  Thank you for continuing to submit additional improvements on our product portal page, and reach us anytime at support@epsilon3.io to discuss your ideas.

We are also proud to be supporting the next generation of space talent.  Recently announced: We are partnering with Texas Rocket Engineering Lab (TREL LinkedIn Instagram) to assist them in the development of the Halcyon launch vehicle.  If you have examples of Epsilon3 in action, please reach out so we can feature your team! -Laura

New! Release Permissions

  • As part of our focus on your growing teams, we now have the ability to gate procedure releases as part of the review cycle to one or more operator roles.

  • To preserve permissions operators already have, all operators can release a procedure by default.  You can adjust this on an operator-by-operator basis by heading over to the “Operator Role” configuration on your settings page.

  • Additionally, we’ve added a tooltip that describes what is preventing an operator from releasing a new procedure.

New! Comment Resolution

  • As part of our commitment to making your procedure improvements even simpler, we now have the ability to resolve comments within a review cycle.

  • These comments can be resolved both in review and in procedure edit.

  • Comments can now be collapsed as well. This was an ask from users with lots of back and forth on releases who wanted to hide older comments.

  • Resolved comments also track which user they were resolved by.

Improved! Step Signoff Options

  • Make your procedures flow the way you need them to!  You can now design step behavior to help you execute your steps the way you need.

  • New functionality adds "OR" functionality (i.e. OP1 or OP2) to the “AND” functionality.  You can also create any combination in a step!  For example: Needing the mission director to sign off as well as either OP1 or OP2.

  • This is just step one: you can expect even more advanced behaviors coming soon.

Improved! CSV Export with Step Times

  • We are continuing to improve our export and analysis capabilities. When you export your procedure runs, they will now contain step completion and skip times, which operator signed off, and procedure start and end times.

New! Account Event History

  • Changes to your Epsilon3 account are now tracked!  See updates to your team members, users, operator roles, projects, and step details in one place.

  • Admins can now download a log of these changes from the Settings screen.

Improvements

  • We reduced the time it takes to run, duplicate, or archive after opening a procedure.

  • New! You can now add, remove, or duplicate between rows in a table.

  • New! Procedures now span the full width of narrow screens.

  • New! We now check that your procedure version does not match a previously released version, ensuring your versions stay unique.

  • New! Users can no longer remove the last admin from their team.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where adding several rows to a table in a specific order would cause a blank screen on the review page.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented running a procedure offline when viewing the procedure.

  • Fixed an issue where a user could be asked to log in when signed in with SSO.

  • Fixed an issue where checkbox values would not appear in the downloaded CSV when an operator had signed off but the step was not completed.

  • Fixed an issue where reviewer emails could disappear on wide screens in Safari.

  • Fixed an issue where undoing a step detail would disallow adding back that detail.

  • Fixed an issue where repeating a partially completed step with redlines could disable fields in the repeated step.
