Epsilon3 Changelog #12: Drafts, Projects, Drag and Drop Sections

Read about the latest Epsilon3 product updates. We have been hard at work towards your most requested features! After you test these out, we would love to hear what you think, how you’ve used these new features, and anything else you want to share about what your company loves and needs from Epsilon3.

New! Projects

  • You can now filter your list of procedures by project.

  • This will enable multiple teams/vehicles/builds/project phases depending on how your company utilizes Epsilon3.

  • If you have questions, or would like guidance from us on how to best utilize projects, reach out to us at support@epsilon3.io or find us on your chat platform of choice.

  • To get started, think about how you would like to organize your procedures into major projects/categories.

  • Your team’s admins can then create the projects for your team to use.

  • Next time you edit a procedure, select the applicable project for your procedure before saving.

  • The project filter is available on all tabs of Epsilon3 at the top right (near search) and lets you filter any page by project.

New! Drafts (i.e., Interim Save)

  • We’re as happy about this as you are!

  • You can now save a draft (yes, with errors and empty steps).

  • The draft is an in-progress copy of the procedure and cannot be run.

  • In order to run the procedure you’ll need to correct all errors and release the procedure for use.

  • Yes, the next step is selecting reviewers for release (and we’re working on it right now!).

New! Drag and Drop Sections

  • We’ve all been waiting for this one, and it’s finally here! You can now reorganize everything within your procedure with drag and drop. Please enjoy, and drag and drop responsibly. ;)

  • Helpful tip: It’s much easier to drag and drop sections if you have collapsed the sections first using the floating menu at the top, or the collapse triangle on the left side of the section.

New! Global Search

  • Keyboard shortcuts are an engineer’s best friend, and we all love them a lot. That’s why we have added global search and will be adding more keyboard shortcuts in short order!

  • Activate the search instantly with CTRL+K (or CMD+K on Mac).

  • Quickly search and navigate to any procedure from anywhere in the app.

  • Give it a spin, and let us know what you think!

Improvements:

  • Search now persists across the three homepage tabs.

  • Steps that require the previous step for completion now have improved UI and styling.

  • The procedure summary now includes the final comment made when ending a procedure.

Fixes:

  • Fixed table inputs to ensure all data is properly saved even when changing the number of rows.

  • Fixed saving to no longer collapse all sections.

  • Fixed a rare issue that prevented application access after resetting your password from a separate browser window.
