Epsilon3 Changelog #16: Review Updates, Field Input Images, Offline Updates

We’re building on a number of features which we know are incredibly important to you. We love hearing from our users, so if there’s anything you like or want to provide feedback on, we want to hear from you. You can find us at support@epsilon3.io.

New! Field Input Images and Files

  • Required inputs are something that our users rely on. We’ve also heard that users also heavily rely on required images (especially for closeout images or to document a test or operation).

  • To support your tests, closeout images, and operations, we’ve upgraded Field Input to include a “File” option. If your field input is changed to “File,” your operators will be prompted to upload a file before completing the step.

  • Files can be either an image, PPT, CSV, XLSX, or any other file format.

New! Login with SSO

  • You can now log in to Epsilon3 using your SSO identity provider.

  • Currently we support Okta with OpenID Connect and will be adding support for Google, Microsoft, and other identity providers soon.

  • If you want to enable SSO for your team, reach out to us.

New! Delete Section

  • We heard you! You can now delete a section with one easy click instead of deleting steps one by one. This was a much requested feature - keep the ideas coming!

New! Offline Skip Step

  • The next step towards full offline support for running procedures is the ability to skip steps while offline. This is now supported - try it out and let us know what you think.

Stay tuned for the next next steps in offline execution, coming soon!

New! Procedure Review Diffs

  • Time matters: reviewing long procedures can be tedious, and you want to know quickly what changed between versions. We want that for you too! You will now have an indicator on each step in the review that denotes which step changed. Happy reviewing!

  • Side note: you can now quickly skip to the next step that changed with a hotlink, so no more CTRL+F to find changed steps.

New! Multiple Headers

  • By popular demand! Multiple headers are sometimes necessary to communicate all pertinent background information for your operators. We’re happy to announce you can now add as many headers as you need.

Improvements

  • New! Have you noticed that pages and procedures now load even faster than before on Epsilon3? We’ve made significant performance enhancements to our cloud infrastructure for up to 30x gains. Try it out and see for yourself!

  • Adding a linked procedure is now easier and faster with new support for search and auto-complete as you type. No more scrolling through a long list of procedures!

  • Printing to PDF is now cleaner with improved document output. Stay tuned for the next steps in PDF export!

  • Improved the step signoff button styling to make it easier to locate visually.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused the multiple project selection dropdown to hide prematurely.

  • Fixed an error that prevented saving a procedure with very large file sizes.
